SAM Trainings

Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (SAM) trainings are capacity-building activities designed to:

  • Teach farmers, extension workers, service providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders about mechanization practices that are environmentally sustainable, economically viable, and socially inclusive.
  • Promote appropriate machinery use and mechanization service delivery models tailored to smallholders and rural enterprises.
  • Strengthen understanding of conservation agriculture, mechanization in Farmer Field Schools, business models (e.g., hire service provision), and integration of SAM into broader agricultural systems.

These trainings may be delivered as in-person workshops, training of trainers (ToT) programs, bootcamps, or webinar series organized by Africa Mechanize and partner institutions.
